Hey, does the link to the fullsize version work for you? It does not load the whole picture for me, but that could be because my internet is currently moving slower than a turtle under an Impediment Jinx...

I was worried that the scene doesn't look the way it did in the movie, but am so Happy that it's the way you imagined!

Yeah, I played with ways of working the cup in, but each setup lost the intimacy and the focus on their hands. (It would have had to be lower and in older Ron's left). But yeah, pretend it's below the frame... ;)
Hehehe. Funny you should mention the flare. In my beta post, I asked whether it works -- because I am of your mind. Actually, more people liked it than not, so it stayed. In an ideal world, I would use this as a model to now hand-paint the wandlight into another copy of the picture (which is difficult because it's almost three feet long)...
Perhaps, if I ever get a printer or scanner and the time, I shall.
Thanks again for the thoughtful comments!! :)

I mean that. I fiddled and futzed, and I *never* would have seen the proper highlights on the nostrils or across the bridge of the nose.
You ROCK! *happy dancing* This is one of those pictures that I saw complete in my mind, but needed that extra nudge to get it properly onto paper.
