I found this from deirdre_c's rec, and it ROCKS! Oh, it's so perfectly organized, like it grew that way, like this is the order the cards were meant to be shuffled into.
Sometimes he wondered when Dean had learned to do it, to stare at a creature he knew was ready, willing, and under direct orders to tear him to pieces, and smile. and Halfway there, he called out to Sam, "Oh, and try not to stumble into any more cages while I'm gone." are my two very favorite lines, but what's not to love about this when you've got Sam in a cage, Dean being briskly competent, Dean remembering Cassie, Dean checking up on Sam, the not-so-merry band of hunters, and the boys saving each other?
