There's other ways
Keep him safe
Suspects they wouldn't listen if he did.
Can't teach them what he's seen, or send them help. Doesn't believe in prayer, just hope.
Just them. Together.
John watches his baby pull the trigger. Can't tell who the bad guys really are, sometimes. He closes his eyes, opens them. Clouds rolling in. Blue sky fading.
