Centaurs in Harry Potter, an Exploration
May. 27th, 2005 11:24 pmThe race of centaurs as well as the individuals mentioned in canon have alsways fascinated me. (This fsacination might also have something to do with the fact that I work with horses, but nevermind that for now.)
To shed some light on their role in the future of the series as well as to provide information for anyone wishing to wirte about or speculate about them now, I've put togeter a brief treatise on what we know about centaurs in canon. Enjoy!
( Are there many of Them in here? The Definitive Guide to Centaurs in Harry Potter. )
EDIT: I am especially interested in interpretations of the canon on Centaur biology and magic. Though they are denied wands and seem wary of wizards using them, Firenze is able to dim his classroom lights with just a wave of his hand. How much innate magic to the centaurs possess, and how does it compare to humans'?
