Greetings from HOT climates
Apr. 26th, 2011 04:04 pmHI!
Made it to honduras, and then on the czech-made dual-prop airplane without a/c to the island on Saturday. I managed to bump into a propeller while collecting my bag. Don't ask. Great group of people here (20 or so). Since then, we've been down diving about 4 hours a day, climbing onto the rooftop of the boat to avoid seasick for another 2+, and reading trashy vampire novels for the rest of the day.
I can't imagine a better way to spend vacation.
Oh! And then, as I swam back from snorkeling off the boat, with a pod of pilot whales in the ocean (I kid you not. But the whales were not all that interested in us wee, slow snorkelers and dived after about 20 seconds) I hear:
"Oh, we do have a doctor on board."
(ut oh)
One of the wonderful ladies on the boat got a big old gash in her head, while jumping in. She's fine. But I was kinda wishing that I had my suture pack with me, 'cause I would so have had her stitched up by the time we were back to port... ;)
(Her dad was a vet, so she was pretty comfortable with the idea of me treating her like I would a horse...)
anyway, just checking in. Hope you all are having a great week, too!
I know, it's probably raining.
