Supernatural 2x10 Hunted

Whew. First, I need to catch my breath because that flew by in a hands-gripping-the-edge-of-my-seat hour, and I'm not sure my goosebumps went away from the first moment on. Some incoherent thoughts then.

1. Once again, I'm left wishing these episodes were longer because there was so much in that hour (42 minutes) it almost felt choppy.

2. ZOMG, the Jo runs away to train up as a hunter story I've been working on the last month is officially CANON! *dances* except for the dashing, bisexual, ex-military, old new England family, hunter she runs away with. But that's all in the details. *writes madly*

3. The SECRET! (this should be number one, I'm sure, but) HOLY HELL IN A TUNAFISH SANDWITCH. That was genius. "You have to save him or kill him" One scene I would have loved to linger on. Must now go rewatch entire beginning of season for new depth of meaning.

4. "He told you that a million times" (or whatever the line was) OH, SAMMY, oh BOYS.

5. The looks Dean shot Gordon, even when he was trussed in that very unsightly gag. Those were murderous and wonderful and terrifying, and Jensen played them like a god.

5a. The sound he made when the first grenade went off...

6. ELLEN. How much do I love her? "That's what family's for." Let me count the ways. I love that she forgave John a long time ago, but still won't talk about what happened. I love that she let Jo go. I love that she ratted on Sam but is totally loyal to the pair of them.

7. I love that Ash ALWAYS finishes other peoples' beers.

8. I want to know whether Eva turned or was evil all along (because evil was sick of having its henchmen killed by Gordon.) Or whether she never went bad at all, and the last scene was a total fake.

9. I love that Dean is rooting so hard for Sam to get laid, and that Sam doesn't use the internet for porn (that's what motel TVs are for, after all).

10. I thought the list of four nursery-fire-kids (all of whom we'd already met) was a bit of a cop-out because someone on the writing staff obviously realized they'd be too easy to track that way and had to cover his/her plotting ass.

11. I adore Sam times a million for "It's Sammy" and "He's taken care of..." What a sly sly dog. *picks him first for her capture the flag team*

But most of all, I have no words for how much this show owns me and how much I NEED to see that episode again. And next week? Cursed HOTEL! *dies of the love*

ljkdfas I loved those two Sammy lines. When he was said, "He's taken care of" I was like "No, he's not! Sammy! What you are doing?" And then the cops came and I rejoiced at his sheer genius. XD That was so great.

And Dean! Gah! Tied up and helpless and wanting so badly to save Sammy. :( POOR BOYS.
