How can one show leave me in near hysterics and near tears all within minutes of each other?
1. I will never again be able to hear the word "antique" without disintegrating into a giggling fit. And Sammy's doll collection? BWAHAHAHAAA.
2. "You're bossy. And short." I love that even three sheets to the wind, Sam sounds surprised to realise that Dean's shorter than he is. Drunken!Sammy with his bleary eyes makes me want to do verybad tasty things-- like to lick that spot where his back shows just over the waistband of his jeans.
2a. Jared leans against windows VERY well. Icon, anyone?
2b. I need to watch this scene again. And again. And maybe even again.
3. About three seconds after that, I was just about ready to cry. Dean's "Dad is an ass", Sam making the same request, GUH. Silly, silly Sammy; haven't you figured out yet that Dean will never EVER give up on your goodness? No matter what happens or what you do? This scene may just own my soul
4. I love that Dean's totally willing to ask the old guy to tell him stories. And that he listens. And his "I never had one," response to the loss of a childhood home... that made me suddenly, very sad. I love that Jensen gave it such a throwaway delivery.
5. Dolls? Evil spirit children? That's not creepy. *shiver*
6. n'awwww. Now *both* brothers have saved a kid from drowning.
7. Double gut-punch, when Sam remembers *everything* from the night before.
I found the filming of this episode much... grittier and choppier than usual, an effect that worked very well much of the time but was occasionally overkill.
And Next week? aiee! Locked in a bank! Dean in plaid! SWAT teams! I'm getting total shades of Swordfish meets supernatural, whee! Is it here yet?
PS, Anyone want to rewatch Saturday night?
