I like to dip my toes into everything.

While not quite as clean, this layout solves many of the issues I was having with the last -- not the least is that it loads so much faster, the comments are deciperable (there is such a thing as being *too* minimalist), and the userpics show up with each entry.

So that's good.

I still haven't tweaked it all that much (aside from some colours and the top banner. So any ideas are well appreciated -- especially with the design up top. Lord knows I'm no graphic designer. I only *see* shape and line and shadow and balance when I have a pencil (or brush or charcoal or pastel) in my hand.

The friends page looks weird -- is it just when I look at it, or does it always have a HUGE blank space before the first entry?

Funny you should mention that massive, gaping space. Either it's really there or we are concurrently losing our minds.

I think this layout has issues with certain browsers (it's full of hacks) and I plan to write the designed to see if he/she has any suggestions. Out of curiosity, which one do you use? IE5, 6, or firefox for mac?
