Being Human (US) 1x07

krislaughsI've been trying to sort out my reaction to this episode before posting, but it kind of boils down to:
asdfkjadshfkjadsf, BOYS and GIRLS!!
- Josh is scared for Emily. Blames it on Aidan (he also sees Bishop, for who Bishop is, for the first time this series. *shiver*)
- Aidan is scared for Emily. And Josh. Is going to protect his new family from his old one.
- Okay, I'm usually not a fan of Sally-Aidan peptalks (mostly because I really want to see more and better Sally-Josh bonding), but that one on the stairs was really good.
- Ithaca IS gorges. (even though that bridge is not one of the many, many one-lane bridges around town, it still makes me glee on the inside) Canon: it is also where Josh turned the first time.
- Josh's well-meaning awkwardness and tendency to cook-when-faced-with-life-changing-information is totally inherited. Emily, clearly a throwback to former generations, is still cool despite the bruises.
- Josh keeps a journal! (That was totally in my hypothermia!fic, but in my version, it has a blue cover). His eyebrows kind of have a life of their own.
- Danny is a Grade A Douchebag. Bad Things need to happen to him. (bad things like Aidan and Josh)
- Aidan is beyond adorable when he can't control his fangs.
- He is beyond, beyond when he's half-naked waiting for Joshin bed Er. to bring him herbal tea.
- Fighting badass vamps, armed with swing chains and broken coffee tables, Josh and Aidan so have each other's backs.
- Sally. Can possess people's hands!! Ohhhhh, the things she could do with this new talent.
- Aidan had a family. That he tried to connect with after Bishop turned him.
- This is one of the first genuinely honest conversations he's had with Josh.
- Way back in the early episodes, Aidan chose Josh and Sally over his vampire family. Now Josh chooses them over his human one. (granted they have somewhat different reasons for the choice, but nice parallel all the same)
So, in summary
Possessed hands. And Mistletoe.
