My computer screen casing busted this morning-- now I can't close the laptop without horrible grinding of plastic parts.

I guess after four years, it doesn't owe me any favors. I was kinda hoping to get another year out of it, though.

Unfortunately, probably going to have to return the new TV if I need to replace my computer instead.

In know. Bleh. I do really like the TV. Maybe I'll just roll with the broken computer for a while. It's not like you really *need* to shut the screen all the time...

Are you talking about the part on the laptop that "borders" the screen? Mine had cracked awhile ago, and I just deal with it, but when I took it to the Apple store for something else, they replaced it for free. Might be worth a try.
