Central New York doesn't get the CW network.

Correction: they do in Syracuse, but not in Ogdensburg, Thompkins, Jefferson/Lewis, or Candor.

The station listed on the CW network website as being our local CW apparently doesn't know it, because they're showing a Grey's Anatomy double-feature tonight (and every Thursday at nine from here on out.) *facepalm*

I called my local Time Warner rep, and she tried to tell me that CW and MYTV were the same station with different names. I tried not to laugh in her face because Dean Winchester doesn't do telenovelas.

Seriously, I pay $120/month for more than two hundred stations of digital cable, and they can't get me all five of the FREE channels?!?

*throws hands in air*

In other news, I'M DONE WITH FINALS!!!

I think it's highly probable that I passed, too, although not with the flying colors I'd hoped for.

Didn't realize I was strung up so tight until I haven't been able to stop shaking since I got out.

*happy sigh, despite wanting to stab sharp objects through my cable provider's eyes*

Yay for finals being over! :D

As for the CW, I'm sorry. :( Maybe it'll get resolved soon, it may just be a mix-up? maybe? Satellite perhaps? I have satellite, so even if my town didn't have CW (which thank god it does) I could still get a station, even if it were in other town or time zone.

Well, no matter what, you won't be without Supernatural, since we all know there are other ways. But yeah, bummer. :(

Can't change providers without roomie getting on board, and after last weekend, this is not something I'm gonna act so involved in, if you know what I mean.

there are other ways

Yeah, I know. But then I'll have to wait a couple of hours for all yall to watch them before they're uploaded and I can d/l, which totally ruins one of the few advantages of living in frigid New England. *g*

I mean, not getting my favorite TV is hardly the end of the world, but dude, this isn't a frigging third world country. For more than $1500 a year, this should be a non-issue.

I hate cable companies. They just added like 50 new Spanish language channels to Cablevision here, but for some reason, they refuse to carry BBC America. You know, I don't even know which channel the new CW network is going to be on down here, but I'm presuming it'll be 11. Wonder what channel 9 is going to do now.

Yay to being done with finals though!

Ohhh WB11, WPIX, how I miss you. WPIX would carry my boys. I'm that sure of it.

Hey, I'm coming down cityside tomorrow night. :) (can't wait, miss the city like woah, want to run in Central Park.)

No more finals! Yes! It's the best feeling in the world as you walk out of your last one and know you're done.

But uh, no CW? That's so weird! And dumb! Especially since you're paying for digital cable. That's incredibly messed up. Keep harassing the cable company and maybe they can do something?

Yes. I t really is. It's almost worth having finals for. Not ;)

Yeah. Tell me about the suck. Ah well, there's worse things than having to d/l the eps and watching them late. I'll have you guys to spoil me anyhow.

I'm not sure my hassling will do much, although I was pleased to hear that I wasn't even the first person who'd called the local provider this mornign to ask where the CW network was. We're only about 40,000 in this town, maybe another few tens of thousands in the neighboring counties, so that doesn't ammount to more than a blip on the cable company's radar--and the number of die hard CW fans in that mix is even smaller.

The one thing I've got to ask though, is how this fledgeling network thinks they can get good ratings if they don't even cover more than the major metropolitan areas?

Being done with finals has got to be one of the best feelings in the world.

But that really sucks about your cable... :/ Hopefully you'll get it sorted out soon! (In time for the SPN premier)

Yes, I wouldn't trade being done with finals for anything.

As for the cable. I know. What the hell? And I feel so damn impotent about it and embarassed that I actually care so much. You know?
